House Rule: Lincoln Nerf

This is an optional house rule that can be toggled when creating a match.

The rule is that the Abraham Lincoln advisor, instead of providing an action that can be taken repeatedly to take 1 worker, provides an action to take 2 workers but also removes Abraham Lincoln, preventing further use and losing the 3 stability:

If the nation has one or zero ungrown workers and takes the nerfed Abraham Lincoln special action, then the nation takes that many workers and removes Lincoln. This is similar to Yuan Dynasty and Mauryan Empire, and unlike Janissaries. If you have already grown all of your workers, this could be used as a delay move.

Great call nerfing Lincoln, although I think it’s too harsh.
Have you considered nerfing the text to: once per round, and keeping his 3 Stability?

I considered a number of options, including the ones I listed in the linked BGG thread and some that were suggested later. I didn’t want to have a limit per round, as discussed in the BGG thread.

I didn’t want to over-nerf the card, but maybe I did. It still seems like a very good card to me to be able to grow 2 extra workers.

I don’t plan to add another version. The way the rules implementation works, it needs to continue to support the current version for the matches that have been played to continue to be valid.
